
Mihajlo Matković is an internationally recognized expert in mining and energy, with over 17 years of experience leading projects across five continents. Based in Belgrade, he manages operations in Freetown (Sierra Leone), Beijing, China (financial, energy, and structural operations), South America (natural resources and trade), and Western Australia (geological exploration and mining). As a board member of an ASX-listed company (ASX: LYK), he holds significant influence within the industry and maintains an extensive network of contacts across the global mining, energy, and finance sectors.
Throughout his career, Mihajlo has played a key role in major mining and energy projects. As the General Director of General Electric (NYSE: GE), he led strategic infrastructure initiatives focused on sustainable energy solutions in various regions. His expertise in mining regulations was crucial in aligning projects with the OECD and World Bank ESG standards, including the mezzanine financing structure for a large gold mine in West Africa, in partnership with the Government of Sierra Leone, the African Development Bank, and private investment funds.
His work on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies contributed to the development of ESG policies for ASX-listed companies, ensuring alignment with international sustainability standards. He was also involved in shaping energy efficiency policy for the Government of Serbia, focusing on regulatory reform and long-term sustainable initiatives.
As a legal and financial consultant, Mihajlo has provided regulatory advice to governments and private investors, supporting financial inclusion and sustainable economic development. His analysis of microfinance in Western Balkan countries for Agence Française de Développement (AFD) contributed to shaping financial strategies and regional economic growth.
In academic and research work, he collaborated with an expert student group at the University of Western Australia, offering insight into OECD policy and further strengthening international regulatory frameworks. Mihajlo possesses an exceptionally broad global network and the ability to solve complex challenges at an international level. After leading the Energy and Mining Department at the international law firm CMS, based in London, he transitioned to private practice and founded a globally significant law firm, which today holds a strong influence on the development of the mining and energy sectors worldwide.
He holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, an MBA from Ivey Business School at Western University, and a Master’s in Mining and Energy Law from The University of Western Australia. He further enhanced his education through the Leader Project program in business and trade. His combination of academic knowledge and extensive experience enables him to provide comprehensive legal and strategic advice in the fields of mining, energy, and finance.

Ms. Zhang Huawei holds an LL.B and LL.M in International Economic Law from the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing, China. She has over 12 15 years of experience at the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM, formerly the regulatory agency for corporate mergers; now part of the State Administration for Market Regulation “SAMR”) and has worked at several leading Chinese law firms. She specializes in competition law and has advised 20 of the world’s largest and 500 leading companies in China. Her experience includes working on investigations by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), market dominance abuse, anti-dumping measures, subsidies, safeguards, inbound and outbound investments, and cross-border M&A transactions. She was intensively involved in merger filings with MOFCOM for major corporate transactions, including the acquisitions of Mead Johnson Nutrition Company and Shenyang Brilliance Jinbei Automobile Co., Ltd. by Renault S.A.S.

Ms. Fatoumata D Diarra holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Évry Val d’Essonne in France and a Master’s degree in Tax Law and Business Administration from INSEEC Business School in Paris. She is an accredited tax advisor with over fourteen years of work experience. She is the founder and CEO of African Legal and Tax Mali, affiliated with the EXCO Afrique network. She specializes in energy, mining, and geological research explorations sectors in Africa. Her experience includes tax law and advisory, as well as OHADA business law. She provides expert advice on tax and corporate law matters throughout Africa, offering assistance with tax interpretation and resolution, negotiations with tax authorities, transfer pricing, and customs audit cases. Ms. Fatoumata offers a full spectrum of advice to the largest foreign and domestic companies active in Africa, including regulatory and procedural requirements and court disputes when amicable or extrajudicial mechanisms cannot resolve them.

Dr. iur. Jovan Kojičić is a professor of European law and human rights, with extensive experience in academia, consultancy, and advocacy across diverse international contexts. He heads the legal clinic Logo Vox, and is recognized as an expert in environmental law, medical law, public administration, and human rights. He holds visiting professorships at several German universities.
Dr. Kojičić earned his Doctor of Law (Dr. iur.) degree from the European University Viadrina in Germany, where he was awarded a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) during his doctoral studies. He also completed his postdoctoral studies in human rights and international law at Lund University in Sweden, under the mentorship of Professor Håkan Hydén, a pioneer of the New Institutional Theory of Norms (Science of Norms).
He is listed as an environmental law expert with GFA Consulting Group, one of Europe’s leading consultancy firms in the field of international development cooperation. Additionally, he is affiliated as a researcher with The Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law, and serves as the director of the FDES Institute for Public Administration, Human Rights, and the Environment.
His research in the fields of health and health policy was awarded by DAAD in 2023. He is also a peer reviewer by invitation for the renowned academic journal Frontiers in Sociology – Sociology of Law, based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Dr. Kojičić is a member of the European Commission on Sexual Orientation Law (ECSOL) and one of the founding members of the DAAD Alumni Network of European Legal Scholars, Lawyers, and Law Professors (DAAD-Alumnifachnetzwerk Rechtswissenschaften).

Petar Vuksanović is a trainee at the Matković Law Office, where he actively participates in the team’s daily work through administrative support, document management, and communication with clients and associates. Even at the beginning of his professional journey, he demonstrates a high level of dedication, accuracy, and the ability to work in a dynamic legal environment.
He is currently attending the Faculty of Law, where he acquires theoretical knowledge that he simultaneously applies in practice. He completed his secondary education at the Third Belgrade Gymnasium, in the social-linguistic track, which further contributed to the development of his analytical and communication skills.
Petar is fluent in Serbian, English, and Italian, and is highly proficient in working with MS Office tools. He is characterized by his ability to quickly adapt, a proactive approach to tasks, and a strong desire for professional development in the field of law, with the ambition to build a long-term career in legal practice.

Ivan Ćorović is an attorney specializing in corporate law, intellectual property, and the legal aspects of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. Throughout his career, he has developed specialized knowledge in commercial law, taxation, the establishment of foreign legal entities in Serbia, as well as AML/KYC regulations. He has extensive experience in providing legal opinions related to digital business and in areas that require a multidisciplinary approach.
Ivan provides legal services to both domestic and international clients, including the drafting of legal opinions on the regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies, company formation, taxation, as well as accounting and banking aspects of business. Ćorović also has experience in the field of intellectual property, trademark protection, industrial design, copyright, and anti-counterfeiting efforts.
He completed his undergraduate and master’s studies in law at the University of Belgrade, and further enhanced his expertise through programs in European competition law and intellectual property protection at Saarland University in Germany.

He is fluent in English and also proficient in Italian and Russian. Sava Stankovic is a lawyer with over 10 years of experience, focusing on litigation, both civil and criminal, enforcement proceedings, family and inheritance law, as well as contract and corporate law. He earned his law degree from the University of Belgrade, where he specialized in business law.
Over the years, he has worked with several well-established Serbian law firms, representing individuals and companies in a wide range of legal matters, from court disputes and out-of-court settlements to enforcement and administrative procedures.
